St Paul's Lutheran Church Staff

St. Paul’s is governed by a council of 12 members elected by the congregation. The council, in turn, elects the officers consisting of president, vice president, secretary and treasurer who serve as officers of both the council and congregation. Congregation Council members serve for a term of three years.  Council member terms are staggered by one year so one third of the members are replaced each year. Council members are elected at the congregation’s annual meeting.

Sheila Mielke, Administrative Secretary  
Sheila came to St. Paul's on April 1, 2009, after serving in a similar position at St. John's Lutheran Church in Marion, WI for 11 years. Before that, Sheila headed the St. John's education department for six years. Originally from Clintonville, WI, Sheila and her husband, Tom, have three children. In her spare time, Sheila likes to read, travel and spend time with her family.

Don came to St. Paul's as our fulltime custodian in 2000. Originally from northern Minnesota, Don and his family have been area residents since 1997. Don and his wife Crystal have three children: Milton, Jake and Brooke. In his free time, Don enjoys hunting, fishing and spending time with his family


St Paul's Lutheran Church Teams

Building and Grounds
Charged with overseeing the physical building and grounds, this team develops and maintains a schedule for repair and maintenance of the church building, lawn care, snow removal and landscaping.  The team also purchases and maintains all equipment used in maintenance and work with volunteers, church staff and contractors to accomplish their duties

Congregational Care
The members of the Congregational Care working team arrange and coordinate congregational support and fellowship, with focus on visitation-communion ministry and hospitality. The main responsibility of visitation-communion ministry is to visit homebound and shut-in persons on a monthly basis and offer communion assistance.

Hospitality responsibilities include Sunday morning coffee fellowship and special events such as the pie social held November 24 after the Thanksgiving service



Responsible for finances of the congregation, including developing and monitoring a church budget/financial recording and reporting, disbursement, investment planning and auditing records. 


he team develops and conducts programs to educate the congregation members on the responsibility for stewardship.  

Heritage Committee

The Heritage Committee meets quarterly to sort, identify, preserve and file St. Paul's archive materials. These materials include photos, news clippings, obituaries and more.

Located in the church library, the archives include many albums, bound copies of The Bond and a photo collection file.
